A movie which shows Todorovs theory ideally is Die Hard.

1. John is coming home to his family for Christmas and all is calm. 
(This is the equilibrium, where everything is balanced in the world).
2. Hans and his team of terrorists take over the building which is hosting a Christmas part of which john(the hero)  was attending.
3. John isn't in the room when the terrorists arrive, so is able to move up the building when he hears screaming. 
People outside of the building realise there's a disruption when a police man's car is shot at from the building.
4. The police try sending in a SWAT team in which fails. The situation is solved by John  throwing Hans out of a  window which kills him from impact.
5. The equilibrium is restored when the police got John, his wife and the other hostages out of the building, and the McClanes leave in a police car.

This is the trailer for suits season 1. In this the equalibrium is before Mike Ross joined their firm and everything was good for Harvey Spectre and even for a short period when he does join. In each episode there is a issue which is usually resolved by the end of the episode, however the main problem is that Mike Ross is not a qualified lawyer and cannot represent clients and more and more people begin to find out, which in turn results in hm going to prison where he faces many of the people who Harvey Spectre and himself had put in prison and are seeking revenge. eventually mike is released, however was still unable to practice as a lawyer, which was his ambition ,so he works at a clinic as a public servant as a consultant where he can use his expertise to help people while he appeals for a licsence to practice law.

An example of this could be haryy potter as throughout the entire series harry is shown to be a the good character who is being character who is being targeted and hunted by voldermort who is seen to be the villian who is evil for no apparen reason and is siply cruel in what he does and is an extremely selfish character.

the winner normally has the views and idiologies of the domonant view in society so that people can relate to them as they have similar cultural views, an example of this is that the majority of people would not be able to relate to crimnals and would automatically view them as a bad character.
