1) What examples of binary opposition can you suggest from watching this clip?

Working class vs Middle class
Immigrants vs Citizens
Immigrants vs working class
UKIP vs Immigrants
Bankers vs Poor
Immigrants vs Corruption

In the clip there are many examples of binary opposition as Russel Brand and Nigel Farage argue their points. It appears that Russel Brand is fighting for the working class and the immigrants and receives a lot of praise for the points which he makes as i believe they are more fair points and would please many more people. It surprised me that Nigel Farage received the applause which he did as I thought that this would be a largely unpopular opinion considering that such a large percentage of the population are migrants or has parents or grandparents who are migrants, however he still seemed to receive praise for his opinion. One of the binary oppositions to be noted is the Immigrants vs Working class, this is an important binary opposition as this is such a large number of the population and is a concern. It appears that many of the working class are against immigration as they believe it has become too congested, however majority of the migrants are simply here to work for money and contribute to taxes which assist in building schools, which is what Russel Brand mentions as he states the issue with another binary opposition, which is the Immigrants vs Corruption as it seems that the immigrants are being blamed for the lack of public resources and money available for government spending
