news article week 7

The I:
Bankers are being forced to urinate in buckets while call centre workers have to log when they go to a toilet, new research by Unite has found. Thousands of workers across the UK are being denied their “toilet dignity”, say the union, with workers submitting stories revealing that they are not allowed to go to toilet unless they are on their break.
Which leads to a situation where people are denied their basic human rights and are treated very inhumanely. It leads to workers feeling embarrassed in their workplace and  denied their basic human rights. I think that this would interest readers as this is an extreme situation and may feel relatable to readers as they may feel like their human rights are being exploited or maybe to younger readers when teachers denied their request.

Mail online:
A moped gang armed with Samurai swords, a sledgehammer and an axe rammed a stolen car into a high-end jewellery store before stabbing a heroic passer-by when he tried to stop them.
This is hard news and would interest an audience as it is a negative news story which leaves the readers feeling vulnerable and targets the fears of an audience. it shows them first stealing a car and then using that to rob a jewellery store. It then shows them stabbing a man who attempted to help them which shows they came prepared to do anything to make sure they got away and are very dangerous.
