Against:
BBC and Channel 4 shouldn’t produce popular programmes such as Strictly Come Dancing as this is unfair on commercial broadcasters struggling to survive in the digital age. Instead PSB channels should focus on programming that isn’t profitable so therefore not produced by commercial rivals.

No I did not manage to write about three different strategies and three different benefits. I mentioned 2 strategies and no benefits. I simply could not thinking of the benefits and the final strategy.
5) Look at your answer for Question 2. Did you follow the question guidance and write about both the BBC and commercial broadcasters? What could you have added to this answer to reach a higher mark?
I did follow the question guidance and write about both the BBFC and commercial broadcasters, however I could have included more for each of the sides about whether or not they should run. I could have also not let my own opinion sway me about the arguments I had given. I could have also included actual examples of the channels in the arguments
6) Now look over your mark, teacher comments and the mark scheme for Question 3 - the 20 mark essay question on media effects theory. Write a new paragraph for this question based on the suggested theories/answers in the mark scheme. Make sure it is an extensive, detailed paragraph focused on the question and offering examples from the wider media.
The hypodermic needle model, although largely discredited suggests that we are going through an era of 'fake news'. This is rising once again, as on social media there have been many instances of fake news. I have experienced this first hand when I have many family members forwarding me and reposting pictures of news which seems to have impacted many, however is never seen on the news. It is often found to be fake news or extremely over exaggerated. This is often because the people who post this feel the need to receive likes or comments on their pictures so that their page receives publicity as people pass this on between friends and family. Another situation this may occur is when some well known pages over exaggerate news which they may have discovered as they do not know the full story but would like to be the first ones to release this news and get it out no matter what before any competitors.
